Chrysler's redesigned 300 big sedan wowed 'em at Consumer Reports, a USA Today blog reported.
The 2011 Chrysler 300 got an excellent rating in the magazine's road test, USA Today said. The blog also notes the 2012 model has a few more improvements.
Mlive.com said the 300 is now ranked the No. 6 upscale sedan by Consumer Reports, making it the best domestic model of the year for luxury sedans.
In an interview with the Detroit Free Press, Consumer Reports said it is unusual for a redesigned model to rise so far in its ratings. The higher score for the 300C is the influential magazine's second round of praise for Chrysler vehicles in four months following positive reviews of the Dodge Durango and Dodge Charger, the Free Press said.
Consumer Reports engineers and editors described the 300 as the best Chrysler sedan we've seen in decades, according to USA Today.
The 300C's overall road test score of 80 puts it ahead of the Lincoln MKZ, Buick LaCrosse CXS, Ford Taurus and others, Mlive.com said.
