Pursuit gets more goods to catch bad guys

That big, mean Dodge Charger Pursuit grille in your rear view mirror soon may have more to it that just the authority of the law: it could be packing Mopar® upgrades, Motor Authority said.

Mopar Muscle Magazine said Dodge and Mopar announced six all-new quality tested and factory installed police equipment packages for the high-performance 2012 Dodge Charger Pursuit.

The parts underwent extensive testing to ensure the police upfit equipment met and exceeded the heavy-duty durability requirements for the 2012 Dodge Charger Pursuit, the story said.

Edmunds Inside Line said the packages feature emergency lighting, audible warning, communications and safety equipment. In addition to the packages, Mopar is offering 24 parts for the police vehicle, including a push bumper, trunk cooling fan and grille lights.

Getting the equipment from Mopar not only streamlines the ordering process, but it also protects the add-on equipment with a 3-year/36,000 mile warranty, Automobile Magazine reported.
