Equipment Today magazine named the Ram 1500 Tradesman to its 2011 Contractors' Top 50 Products awards list.
Recipients of the award were selected based on the volume of reader inquiries and views over the past year for new products published in Equipment Today magazine and posted on the ForConstructionPros.com website," Equipment Today Editor Becky Schultz said.
The Ram brand's Tradesman has all the guts, but skips the frills for an attractive sticker price, KABC-TV's Dave Kunz wrote. The plain but powerful Tradesman should be a hit with everyone from independent contractors to large-fleet operators, Kunz said.
"This one is a stripped down work truck," Mike Levine, founder and editor of PickupTrucks.com, told KABC-TV. "It is meant to do a job, and it's meant to do that job very well."
